Rosalie Miranda Robles Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Rosalie Miranda Robles is a past president, vice president and cultural chairman of the American Association of University Women.

An accomplished listee, Ms. Robles celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Having accumulated 50 years of experience in elementary education, Ms. Robles has garnered a laudable reputation teaching at La Merced Elementary School in Montebello since 1964. For the past 13 years, she has also served as a representative and chairman of the School Site Council. She formerly contributed for several years as a union representative for the Montebello Unified Schools. Prior to earning her teaching degree, Ms. Robles excelled as a playground supervisor for Los Angeles City Schools.

Ms. Robles received a Bachelor of Arts at California State College in Los Angeles in 1964. She later completed postgraduate coursework at California State University at Northridge. Aligned with several professional organizations, Ms. Robles is a past president, vice president and cultural chairman of the American Association of University Women. She is likewise a former faculty club chairman of the Montebello Teachers Association and former president of her local Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

She has volunteered in Monterey Park making Christmas baskets for those in need. She also supported battered women by volunteering at a shelter.

Awarded a 45-Year Pin upon retirement from the Montebello Unified School District, Ms. Robles also received several other awards, including an Honorary Service Award from the PTA. A celebrated Marquis listee, she has been featured in approximately 20 editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women. Ms. Robles remains active as the president of Delta Kappa Gamma since 2004, for which she once served as a secretary and recording secretary. She is also active in her church, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, as a Eucharistic Minister and helps decorate the alter for the holiday seasons.

She says she was lucky to have a supportive family and parents, Richard and Carmen Miranda, and a supportive husband, Ralph Robles.
