His interest in the field of law began after a high school civics class field trip to New York City which involved a visit to the United Nations where representatives from the Russian and Israeli embassies addressed the class. Mr. Kehrli fondly remembers being fascinated by their distinct differing points of view regarding the state of the world at that time.
Mr. Kehrli initially pursued an education at Slippery Rock University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 1972. He later earned a Master of Arts at Indiana University in 1974. He concluded his academic efforts with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1990 at Western State University. Mr. Kehrli has been admitted to practice law by the State Bar of California, and has represented cases before the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
From 1974 to 1982, Mr. Kehrli began his career at General Electric Credit Corporation as a Branch Manager and Internal Auditor in Stamford, Connecticut. Since 1983, he has excelled with Amada North America, Inc., Amada Capital Corporation and a number of related corporations in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Likewise, he has served as General Counsel, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary for the aforementioned companies at various times. Moreover, Mr. Kehrli has been a member of the business law, International law and Labor and Employment sections of the California Lawyers Association.
