Mr. Sadetsky is renowned as a writer and a retired school principal with more than 25 years of service to his students and profession. He served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Korean War. Upon his military tour of duty, Mr. Sadetsky decided to choose a career that he believed would make a meaningful impact on others before eventually deciding to pursue the education of children. He then chose educational leadership.
Mr. Sadetsky initially pursued his studies at Long Island University, earning a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in 1958 and a Master of Science in 1963. He subsequently completed doctoral coursework at New York University from 1972 to 1975. From 1964 until 1988, Mr. Sadetsky found success as a principal for Middle Country Schools in Centereach, New York. He further served as one of the directors the Principal's Center at Long Island University.
Since 1988, Mr. Sadetsky has focused on his writing career, and maintains an active online presence. A former member of the adjunct faculty at Stony Brook University, a part of the State University of New York system, his ongoing projects include a personal blog and several longform digital media pieces on a variety of social justice and cultural topics. Moreover, he is the author of four novels and two nonfiction books about educational administration. Looking toward the future, Mr. Sadetsky hopes to continue his contributions to the community while remaining supportive to causes about which he is passionate.
