    WOODBRIDGE, VA, April 21, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Michell Clark with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Clark celebrates many years of experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. Having accrued more than 20 years of service within the Armed Forces, Mr. Clark led a diversified and successful career as a member of the U.S. Army, and retired in 1998 after advancing to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his illustrious career with the U.S. Department of Defense, Mr. Clark had the opportunity to serve with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He also served as the Executive Assistant to the Director of the Joint Staff, with whom he was able to make quite a large impact on the military as a whole. Furthermore, Mr. Clark had the good fortune of offering his insights as a speaker in his field.

While serving in the military, he was employed with the U.S. Department of the Army, where he initially held the role of Performance Management and Measurement Chief and, ultimately, as a program coordinator of the Program Analysis and Evaluation Directorate. He subsequently contributed for five years with Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP, in customer relationship management position before joining the U.S. Department of Education in 2003 as the Director of Security Services. By 2006, he had become the Assistant Secretary for Management, Chief Information Officer, and Chief Human Capital Officer, roles he maintained for two years. Additionally, Mr. Clark worked for more than a decade as a member of the board of governors of the Federal Reserve System, until 2019 culminating as the Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

Following in his father's footsteps, who had served in the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Clark attended West Point Military Academy in New York where he received a Bachelor of Science in 1978. He later attained a Master of Science at Purdue University in Indiana in 1989 and studied at Command and General Staff College in Kansas from 1990 to 1991. Passionate about public service, Mr. Clark continues to serve as a deacon at his local church. An Eagle Scout himself, he has been a leader for the Boy Scouts of America and a volunteer for the African American's Against Alzheimer's Network. He is also active as a Strategic Advisor to Government Executives (SAGE) with the nonprofit Partnership for Public Service.

Honored with a Legion of Merit and a Defense Superior Service Medal, among other awards, for his time served in the military, Mr. Clark also received a Citizen of the Year Award from Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and a Contribution to Public Service Award from the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Organization. A celebrated Marquis listee, he has been featured in over a dozen editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in American Politics and Who's Who in the East. Alongside his wife, Sue Lee-Clark, Mr. Clark is the proud parent of two children.
