    WEST COVINA, CA, October 02, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rev. Dr. Yawba Tangbau Lasaw has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With 50 years of professional experience to his credit, Rev. Dr. Lasaw has excelled as a reverend at Kachin Baptist Convention since 1969, First Kachin Baptist Church of Los Angeles since 1985, the president of the Kachin American Baptist Association since 2014 and an advisory board member of Kachin Alliance in America since 2012. A fellow of Fuller Theological Seminary in 1985, he previously served as the Youth director of the Burma National Council of Churches from 1980 to 1984. He attended World Youth Projects Conferences in many Southeast and Fareast Asian Countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Japan. Notably, Rev. Dr. Lasaw was called to ministry in 1969. His 50th Anniversary on March 23, 2020 at the Temple City Baptist Church in California.

In order to prepare for his professional path, Rev. Dr. Lasaw pursued an education at Fuller Theological Seminary in California, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy in Missiology in 1995. Throughout his impressive career, he has been recognized on numerous occasions. The recipient of several awards from a number of churches in 2019, Rev. Dr. Lasaw was further presented with the many outstanding service awards from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Originally hailing from Burma, Rev. Dr. Lasaw became the first Burmese Kachin person to become ordained in the United States under the Ordination Council of American Baptists of the Pacific South West. A leader in his field, he considers the highlight of his career to be organizing the Kachin Christian Family Camp, which connects participants to the traditions of Kachin culture and literature.
