As the president of DeBrino Caulking Associates, Mr. Houghtaling oversees business strategy, hiring and bidding, and remains involved in day-to-day operations. The company offers a wide range of specialties including sealing, concrete and masonry repair, waterproofing fire-stopping structural treatments to clients throughout the Northeastern United States. Under Mr. Houghtaling's leadership, the company's value has grown from $90,000 to more than $19 million. Mr. Houghtaling attributes his success to hard work and cultivating an attitude of pride in his work, and he emphasizes that he stands behind the quality of each and every project DeBrino Caulking Associates has completed.
Mr. Houghtaling is a leader in the local construction and trades communities, and he is a trustee of the Eastern Contractors Association, the Bricklayers Pension and the Irish American Heritage Museum. He is the recipient of an America's Subcontractors Association Award and a Best National Restoration Rehabilitative Maintenance Project Award from the International Bricklayers Union.
Dedicated to advancing his trade and remaining on the cutting edge of his practice, Mr. Houghtaling is a member of the Sealants Waterproofers Restoration Institute, the International Concrete Restoration Institute, Eastern Contractors Association, Northeastern Subcontractors Associations, and America's Subcontractors Association.
