SOUTH SETAUKET, NY, January 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sharmila Nigam has been inducted in Marquis Who's Who. Inspired by her parents, who arrived in the United States over 40 years ago with very little money to their name, Ms. Nigam was encouraged to work hard, learn, adapt to change and now excels as a Senior Customer Success Manager for LexisNexis Global Nexis Solutions (LN gNS). In this capacity, she ensures that her clients are heard and given the best support to utilize the services that her company provides. In addition to her day to day responsibilities, she is a Senior Member of the Inclusion and Diversity Council, on the LexisNexis Volunteer Cares committee, and CFO of Women's Connected employee resource group. She also owns and manages her Wellness business with doTerra.
Additionally, Ms. Nigam gained valuable professional expertise as a Business Intelligence Analyst and Senior Replenishment/Forecast Analyst for Jones Apparel Group. Prior to these appointments, she further flourished with Modell's Sporting Goods as a Replenishment Analyst and the first Community Marketing Manager. Previously she was the owner and manager of a local cocktail lounge, multiple retail stores, and residential building manager. Dedicated to her community, she contributes by volunteering for the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County, LexisNexis Care Days, is an active PTA Event Chair, and is administrator of a local Hindu Temple children's program.
An expert in her field, Ms. Nigam initially obtained an Associate of Science in Travel and Tourism from Bryant & Stratton – Amherst. She graduated from the University at Buffalo, a part of the State University of New York system, with a Bachelor of Science concentrating in Marketing. In recognition of her outstanding work, she was presented with an MVP Award and a Circle of Excellence Award from LexisNexis. Always seeking personal and professional development she has certificates in Six Sigma Green Belt, Tableau, Workplace Diversity, and Emotionally Intelligent Leader, to name a few, and graduated from the Momentum Education Leadership Development program in 2019 with LT171. Looking toward the future, Ms. Nigam intends to obtain a senior leadership position in the area of business development, strategy, operations or customer success to ultimately become a change leader.
