A renowned board certified internist, Dr. Weinstock has maintained his own private practice in Silver Spring, Maryland, for nearly four decades. Established in 1984 after concluding a long commitment at the clinical practice of Ahschuler & Weinstock in Silver Spring, he has become well known in his local community for his expertise. Dr. Weinstock also devoted a year to the clinical practice of Holzman. Weschler and Hurwitz from 1973 until 1974 and, during his tenure in medicine, was affiliated with Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring as the chairperson of the Department of Family Practice between 1988 and 1989.
Inspired to specialize in Primary Care medicine, Dr. Weinstock has long cultivated a curiosity for the medical field, through which he delights in asking questions, finding clues and alleviating the afflictions of his patients through diagnosis and treatment. As a respected physician, he has shared his expertise in various peer reviewed and other professional journals. Dr. Weinstock was notably featured in an article by his alma mater, Georgetown University School of Medicine, which affirmed that he is the only doctor to have been board certified in Internal Medicine and Family Practice and also elected as a Fellow in both the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
To prepare for his career, Dr. Weinstock received a Bachelor of All in Biology at Franklin and Marshall College in 1962, followed by a Doctor of Medicine at Georgetown University in 1967. He subsequently spent two years in the military as a Major in the United States Army Medical Corps between 1969 and 1971, serving as the chief of the Department of Clinics at Dewitt Army Hospital in Fort Belvoir.
In addition to being an elected Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Physicians, Dr. Weinstock is also a member of several other industry-related organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American Society of Internal Medicine, the Montgomery County Medical Society and the Maryland State Medical Society.
