Ms. Sobecki realized she no longer loved her field and considered running her own business. She has also worked as a master coach and consultant for Arroyo & Co. And there was where she found her passion in leading and coaching. In 2019, she became the owner of the Difference Baker, a certified gluten-free, soy-free, peanut-free, tree nut-free, fish-free and crustacean free bakery, bistro and shared kitchen space in Loudoun County, Virginia. At her bakery, Ms. Sobecki oversees nine employees, manages the company software systems and handles all business consulting services.
Throughout her career, Ms. Sobecki is proudest of being recognized among the Top 100 Women in Business in the food allergy industry. She received this honor within the first six months of opening her business, at the height of the pandemic, although she had no prior experience in culinary arts. Her skills do not include baking or cooking; she has instead found success as an accomplished businesswoman.
In addition to this notable honor, Ms. Sobecki's business was recognized as the Best of Ashburn Bakery, Best of Loudoun Bakery and was nominated and won the Best Allergen Free Bakery in the U.S. Over the years, she has attributed her professional success to her desire to serve a niche market. In addition, she has remained faithful and received support from her family in all of her endeavors. In the coming years, Ms. Sobecki plans to franchise her business. She also hopes to establish a resort that caters to people with food allergies and immune diseases.
