Drawing inspiration from the example of her grandfather, she found success as a respiratory therapist for over a decade at Park Ridge Hospital and Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester, New York. Following this period, Ms. Schneggenburger earned distinction as a clinical care coordinator for Saint John's Senior Living Care for the past 5 years.
In her capacity at St. John's, Ms. Schneggenburger is responsible for supervising 40 patients, six nurses and ten certified nursing assistants. She overlooks family meetings and doctor visits, and routinely sees to the needs of the patients under her care. In a career suffused with highlights, Ms. Schneggenburger takes pride in the fact that she earned certification in geriatric care in 2006 (obtaining the title of a licensed practical nurse in 1993).
Ms. Schneggenburger attributes her success to her inherent desire to help other people and her passion for working with the geriatric population. In 2000, she was presented with the Marion Clark Award, and was the recipient of several merit-based grants. She received a license from the Rochester School of Practical Nursing in 1993. Looking toward the future, Ms. Schneggenburger intends to retire from her position as a nurse and volunteer at St. John's Senior Living Care.
