PHOENIX, AZ, August 25, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Georgia A. Jones has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Long driven by a desire to contribute to her community at large, Ms. Jones pursued a career path that would allow her to be of service to others in a meaningful way. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Ottawa University and later became the chief executive officer, president and owner of the Potter's House Substance Abuse Center. In her role as the leader of the organization, she recruits other counselors for their team, and offers counseling services by leveraging her own past experiences. Ms. Jones established Potter's House in order to focus on the criminal population, and the organization specializes in substance abuse, anger management, domestic violence and counseling services.

Throughout the course of her professional journey, Ms. Jones is most proud to have developed an organization where people can feel comfortable and safe. Her counselors pride themselves on their relatability, which helps them provide guidance to help people in difficult situations. Ms. Jones has also been grateful to secure contracts with major health plans, which allows her to treat many more clients. Most notably, her organization is the only African-American owned business in Maricopa county that offers such services.

As an accomplished professional, Ms. Jones was presented with an award for serving as a pillar of support in her community. In accounting for her standout success, she credits the influence of her deep and abiding Christian faith. Looking toward the future, Ms. Jones would like to develop a residential program for women coming out of the prison system.
