Additional educational pursuits to his credit include a residency in surgery at the New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center in New York City between 1989 and 1993, a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia from 1993 until 1995, and a fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 1996.
