Dr. Bashir Lone Celebrated for Success in Medicine

Dr. Bashir Lone MD, FACC, FACP, FSCAI has joined the Medical University of South Carolina as an Interventional Cardiologist and Endovascular Specialist.



    COLUMBIA, SC, December 07, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Bashir Lone has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Lone is an esteemed interventional cardiologist and endovascular specialist at the MUSC Health Heart and Vascular Center. He previously served in the same roles at LifePoint/Providence Hospital, Providence Hospital and South Carolina Heart Center, and as director of echocardiography at Providence Hospital/SCHC. In addition, he served as a clinical assistant professor at USC School of Medicine for a year. Dr. Lone is certified in interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, endovascular medicine by the American Board of Vascular Medicine, cardiovascular diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine, nuclear cardiology by The Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, adult comprehensive echocardiography by The National Board of Echocardiography, and Physicians Vascular Interpretation (PVI) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. He is a Fellow of the Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention, the American College of Cardiology, and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Lone completed a number of clinical studies and is the author of seven abstracts.

Dr. Lone received a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Doctor of Medicine from Government Medical College in India, where he was also a postdoctoral fellow and registrar in internal medicine. He then served as a senior resident in internal medicine at SK Institute of Medical Sciences and a resident in internal medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine affiliated Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in Bronx, NY. Dr. Lone was also a fellow in cardiovascular diseases at Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine and fellow in interventional cardiology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. He initially served as an invasive cardiologist and primary care physician in India.

Dr. Lone was honored with three Gold Medals for First Rank in Physiology, First Rank in Otorhinolaryngology and First Rank in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and two Certificates of Merit from Government Medical College.
