EAST LYME, CT, February 10, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Maura Landry Harris, MA, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Harris earned a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Eastern Connecticut State University in 1998, from which she received an English Department Award for Academic Excellence. She later attained a Master of Arts in special education from the University of Saint Joseph in 2004. An expert in supporting students who live with anxiety or depression, she began her career as a learning center director for The Ethel Walker School in 2004. Following this period, Ms. Harris became a learning strategist for the Watkinson School between 2008 and 2016, whereupon she embarked upon her current role as the owner of SEA Educational Support LLC.

In her present role, Ms. Harris is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business, as well as advertising through word of mouth and referrals. A member of the Association of Educational Therapists and the Learning Disabilities Association of America, she also works with Autism Speaks and has volunteered as a lesson programmer for High Hopes Therapeutic Riding. A lifelong equestrian, Ms. Harris proudly brings her experiences with horses to help children cope with learning differences or social awkwardness.

Soon into her career, Ms. Harris became involved in her profession while working at the Watkinson School, during which time she noticed that students who have learning disabilities often experience emotional and social challenges. Dedicating herself to helping such students with interdisciplinary problems, she aspires to continue her work in educational support and orient her long-term goals toward remote tutoring and online learning. In accounting for her success, Ms. Harris credits her perseverance and compassion.
