Siddiq Ibrahim Khalil Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Cardiology and Medical Education

Dr. Khalil thrived as a cardiologist, professor and medical director for more than 30 years



Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Siddiq Ibrahim Khalil has contributed more than 50 articles to numerous professional publications.

    LITTLE ROCK, AR, February 21, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Siddiq Ibrahim Khalil, FRCP, FESC, SACC, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. For more than three decades, Dr. Khalil found success as a cardiologist, professor of medicine, medical director and academic administrator. Prior to his retirement in 2013, he taught medical students at Sudan's University of Medical Sciences and Technology and Sudan Heart Institute, where he treated patients and served as the dean. From 1996 until 2006, Dr. Khalil also thrived as the head of the cardiology division and executive medical director of Saudi Arabia's Almana Group of Hospitals.

Along with the aforementioned hospitals and academic institutions, Dr. Khalil worked as the senior consulting cardiologist and the head of the cardiology department of Al Shaab Teaching Hospital from 1986 until 1990. During this period, he simultaneously excelled as the principal investigator of the World Health Organization's global prevention program for rheumatic fever and heart disease. Dr. Khalil was also appointed as the secretary general of the Sudan Medical Association between 1983 and 1988 and as the president of the Sudan Association of Physicians from 2012 until 2014.

Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Khalil has contributed more than 50 articles to numerous professional publications, such as the East African Medical Journal, the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, Cardiovascular Journal of Africa, Journal of Vascular Diagnostics and Interventions, the Lancet, and Sudan Heart Journal where he has found further success as the chief editor since 2016. He has additionally shared his expertise at conferences and symposiums all over the world and authored three books, such as 2008's "The ECG Book" and 2018's "A History of Medical Services in Sudan." In the coming years, Dr. Khalil intends to write more books while assisting the professional development of graduate students in a consultant capacity.
