Ndang Azang-Njaah, MD, MPH, Celebrated for Achievements in Medicine

As an internist and pediatrician, Dr. Azang-Njaah is focused on giving back to his community and mentoring new doctors



Board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics, Dr. Azang-Njaah has found success as a primary care physician at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

    ALLSTON, MA, February 25, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ndang Azang-Njaah, MD, MPH, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Azang-Njaah pursued a career in medicine due to his passion for public service and public health and their role in strong communities. He obtained dual bachelor's degrees in biochemistry and nutritional science from the University of Maryland at College Park and a master's degree in public health nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After earning a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, he completed combined internal medicine-pediatrics residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics, Dr. Azang-Njaah has found success as a primary care physician at Brigham and Women's Hospital. In this role, he provides patient care, seeing patients with urgent clinical concerns and performing routine chronic disease management. Additionally, he supervises internal medicine and pediatrics residents. In the future, he intends to maintain a strong clinical practice, but he also hopes to become more involved in mentoring residents and underrepresented groups and trainees in the medical field. Likewise, he aims to increase food access initiatives in his community.

Dr. Azang-Njaah has been affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the Albert Schweitzer Fellows for Life. In 2021, Vanderbilt University Medical Center presented him and other members of the Nashville Chapter of Equal Health's Campaign Against Racism with the Martin Luther King Jr. Award for Service for their efforts advocating for the removal of race in the evaluation of kidney function. Dr. Azang-Njaah attributes his success to his parents and mentors and to his desire to help others in his community.
