Mr. Bethea additionally holds a cultural diversity train-the-trainer certification.
Mr. Bethea began his career as a manager for commercial and retail services with McCarthy Tire in 1998 before becoming a co-manager for 84 Lumber in 2002. In 2006, he was promoted to working in diversity business practices for 84 Lumber until his appointment as a human resource analyst and business partner for Gateway Health Plan in 2008. In 2016, Mr. Bethea was appointed as a diversity, equity and inclusion specialist for FedEx Ground.
Mr. Bethea notably founded Urban Enterprise Business Solutions LLC in 2016, with which he has excelled as the chief executive officer. He is also currently active as the vice president of equity, people and culture and the head of the human resources department for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. In addition to his primary career endeavors, he conducts speaking engagements for conferences and webinars. Additionally, Mr. Bethea contributed and held a board of directors position for the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association.
In his current roles, Mr. Bethea manages the human resources and diversity, equity and inclusion for the food bank by managing the administration of human resource programs such as performance, staff development, salaries and benefits. He is responsible for building an inclusive environment both internally and externally, such as working with local organizations that focus on equity challenges in the southwestern Pennsylvania region. As a member of the executive team, Mr. Bethea leads initiatives to infuse fair and equitable policies and programs across all functions of the organization and manages personnel.

He plans to provide a broader impact not only to his local community but to the nation as a whole.
