Since 2015, Dr. Evans has thrived as a pharmacist at St. Dominic's Memorial Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. With more than 10 years of pharmaceutical experience to her credit, she focuses on formulating and ensuring the proper dosage level for pharmaceutical medications on behalf of patients. Dr. Evans also regularly collaborates with physicians and nurses to ensure that each patient receives the correct medication for their unique symptoms and medical history.
Prior to her recruitment at St. Dominic's, Dr. Evans earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from Samford University's McWhorter School of Pharmacy and a Master of Science in biochemistry and molecular biology from Mississippi State University. She continued her education in 2020, at which point she obtained a second Master of Science in biomedical sciences from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Alongside her responsibilities as a pharmacist, Dr. Evans maintains active affiliations with a host of professional organizations such as the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, the Mississippi Society of Health System Pharmacists, the Alabama Society of Health System Pharmacists, the Mississippi Pharmacists Association and the Alabama Pharmacists Association.
Outside of her professional circles, Dr. Evans has traveled extensively, both domestically and internationally. She attributes a great deal of her success to the support of her family, who vehemently encouraged her to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a medical professional. In the coming years, Dr. Evans would like to use her leadership skills and advance to an administrative committee position in her role as a practicing pharmacist; and she would also like to obtain her pharmacotherapy specialist board certification (BCPS).
