Jacob Carriero was a top three finalist the for the prestigious Lake County Schools Rookie Teacher of the Year Award in the 2020-2021 school year.
GROVELAND, FL, April 11, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jacob Carriero has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Well regarded for his work as a physical education teacher, Mr. Carriero was appointed to his current role at Mascotte Charter Elementary School in Mascotte, Florida, in 2020. In addition to teaching various sports and exercise techniques to his students, he is also implementing programs for students to grow outside of school hours. One of his programs, the Morning Mile running program, gives the children extra time with their classmates in the morning hours, while also gaining worthwhile skills in endurance.
Prior to earning his degree, Mr. Carriero worked in the hospitality industry for several nationally ranked sports and athletic clubs in New York and Florida. Although he enjoyed the social aspects of this career, he eventually transitioned to the education field in 2019. Not only does Mr. Carriero love his new schedule, he also enjoys making a positive impact in the lives of his students and developing personal connections with each of them.
Mr. Carriero pursued an education at Erie Community College, where he earned an Associate of Arts in Communications and Media Arts in 2015. Shortly thereafter, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in hospitality management at Niagara University in 2017. Well qualified in his respective fields, Mr. Carriero is ServSafe certified, Training for Intervention Procedures certified, CPR/AED certified, and contemporary club management certified.
Mr. Carriero believes that any person can make a difference in someone else's life, and is grateful to be able to do so every day at work. He attributes much of his success to his upbringing in New York and the many life lessons he has learned along the way. Honoring his contributions in the field, Mr. Carriero was a top three finalist the for the prestigious Lake County Schools Rookie Teacher of the Year Award in the 2020-2021 school year.
