To prepare for his career, he earned a Bachelor of Science in sport and exercise management and exercise physiology, with a minor in business administration, from Adams State University in 2005. Mr. Prior also attained certification in solar PV design and installation from SolarGien in 2021.
Mr. Prior began his career as an account manager for Maxim Healthcare Services in 2007 and became a small business medical sales consultant for Cbeyond in 2010. Over the next several years, he advanced through various businesses, including working with IBM Security in data security and privacy, Insight as a field account executive and Global Technology Resources as a sales expert and advisor. Mr. Prior became the co-owner for S&P Properties LLC and Dunes Ranch Inc. in 2020.
Since 2019, Mr. Prior has maintained involvement as the chief executive officer and managing partner for 3 Pointe Solar Inc., as well as the information technology consultant, president and owner of Divine IT Business Solutions Inc. In these roles, he is responsible for sales, business development, channel development and brand exposure. He prides himself on cultivating productive and positive relationships, as well as educating homeowners, businesses, farmers and ranchers on the benefits of using solar power. In recognition for his work in information technology, Mr. Prior was honored with a leadership award while working at SHI International and was admitted to a Cbeyond Communications' president's club after achieving 650% of his quota in an eight-month period during his tenure there.
In addition to his primary career, out of a passion for sports management, Mr. Prior also authored "Forward Progress: How the Denver Broncos really play Defense," which published in SC Magazine in 2014. To contribute to his community, he serves as a member on the board of directors of fundraising for the Colorado Veterans Project and the director of business development for the Warrior Bonfire Program. Mr. Prior also sponsors a child through the Compassion International program and volunteers with the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentorship organization.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Prior's company is in the process of building a home on a plot of five-acre land that they hope to utilize for educating people on the use of solar energy in agriculture. He plans to continue to bringing people together by collaborating with other entities that help families and business owners with his business.
