Andy S. Cole is Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Achievements in Coaching

Mr. Cole has garnered more than two decades of experience as a volleyball coach.



    GLENDALE, WI, April 25, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Andy S. Cole has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

An experienced volleyball coach, Mr. Cole joined the Ohio State University (OSU) Final Four Team in 2005. Upon reaching graduate school, Mr. Cole had the opportunity to serve as a graduate assistant coach for the Loyola-Chicago women's volleyball program between 2007 to 2008, where he oversaw student progress and became well versed in scouting reports and other tasks. He also started as a Middle School volleyball coach at Glen Hills Middle School.

Having continually progressed in the field of athletics over the subsequent course of his career, Mr. Cole went on to work as an assistant coach for the Rote Raben Professional Volleyball Club in Germany, where he helped lead the team to third place at the Under 20 German National Championships. He also served as interim head coach for a month while the head coach lead the German Youth National Team. After departing from this role, he maintained involvement as the head coach for the Boys Select and Youth Continental Team for USA Volleyball at the USA High Performance Championships. Mr. Cole also highlighted his expertise as the assistant coach for the Lewis University Flyers women's volleyball program in Illinois, which he helped lead to victory in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament and place 14th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) ranking. Additionally, he served as an assistant coach for the Northwood University Timberwolves in Michigan, which held a record of 21 wins and 11 losses.

In 2015, Mr. Cole was recruited by the University of Milwaukee Panthers as an assistant where he served until being promoted to technical coordinator from 2019 to 2021. Adjacent to his ongoing assignments, he has been highly engaged with a multitude of sports camps for area colleges and universities, including Marquette University, Nebraska University, the Ohio State University, and many others. Looking toward the future, he aspires to soon earn the role of a head coach at a major university.

Mr. Cole initially took an interest in the sport of volleyball while coming of age. He was a member of the Youth Training Team and USA Junior National Team prior to attending college. At the same time, he was the 2002 State Long Jump Champion with a jump of 7.21 meters ( for perspective, the 39th competitor of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens recorded a jump of 7.32 meters, a difference of 4.5 inches). Mr. Cole then attended OSU and earned a bachelor's degree in finance in 2006. Playing in collegiate sports during his undergraduate years, he served as a co-captain, represented the team on its student athlete advisory board, and was named as the MIVA Freshman of the Year for 2003. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Cole graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Master of Business Administration in sports management.

To support his profession, Mr. Cole is a prominent member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association. He is also a former member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. As a devoted member of the community, he frequently contributes as a parishioner at the Lutheran Church of Fox Point, Wisconsin. Honoring his accomplishments thus far, Mr. Cole was notably recognized among the Top 30 Under 30 list by the AVCA in 2011 and is a 2017 inductee of the Nicolet High School Athletics Hall of Fame.
