Ms. Collins is the owner and chief operating officer of AVO Behavioral Health and Recovery, an outpatient mental health and addiction facility she opened in 2020. She manages operations as well as client care to provide medication management in collaboration with a team of psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners, as well as tailored counseling with trained professionals. AVO also offers innovative substance abuse disorder programs as well as adolescent outpatient programs. Notably, Ms. Collins has also held a concurrent position as president of the board of directors for CHC Addiction Services since 2018.
Earning a Master of Business Administration from Walsh University in 2016, Ms. Collins brings exceptional academic credentials to the industry. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing and business from the same institution in 2010 and completed one year of coursework for the nursing degree track. Ms. Collins gained additional industry experience through previous appointments as a health care liaison for Orexo AB from 2018 to 2020 and as a renal clinical science specialist with Sanofi Genzyme-Quintiles in 2017. Her relevant expertise in the pharmaceutical sales field includes work as a representative for Takeda from 2016 until 2017, for inVentiv Health Commercial/Iroko Pharmaceuticals LLC from 2013 to 2016 and with Lincare Holdings Inc. from 2012 until 2013.
To remain aware of developments affecting her field, Ms. Collins is a member of the board of directors of CHC Addiction Services, a position she has held since 2017, and a member and acting chair of the diversity, equity and inclusion committee of the Ohio AFAM Advocacy and Policy Board. In 2021, she founded Arika's Angels Inc., a nonprofit agency that contributed to Ms. Collins being named among the 20 Under 40 by About Magazine in the same year. Named in honor of her sister, Arika's Angels represents Ms. Collins' mission to gain awareness about the community and how to make resources for treatment and recovery available to those in need.
The initiation of AVO ("Amore Vincent Omnia," or "Love conquers all") Behavioral Health and Recovery counts as Ms. Collins' proudest professional achievement, and she was gratified to earn Ohio certification just three months after opening. She attributes her business success in part to a mentor, Dr. Nicole Labor, who openly shared her story about overcoming addiction and about contributing to the community.
