Long dedicated to civic advocacy, she has supported her local community charity by donating $12,000 in bathroom giveaways, from which all proceeds are allocated to the Eddy House foundation, an organization dedicated to helping at-risk kids between the ages of 18 and 26, who opt out of foster care. Additionally, Ms. Laughton has contributed a percentage of the company's merchant service fees to the Achievements Beyond Obstacles Scholarship Program for the education of underprivileged children and has donated to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
Well regarded for her contributions to the field, Ms. Laughton has been nominated as the Woman of Distinction for the entire state of Nevada. Looking toward the future, Ms. Laughton aspires to successfully retire, and hopes to train as a counselor for hospice care to contribute more to her community.
