VOLANT, PA, September 05, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present C. Thomas Benson Jr. with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Benson celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Benson has distinguished himself as a tenured professional in the funeral home industry for more than 56 years. Learning the business when he was just 12 years old, he began by performing various odd jobs, including maintenance. Gaining more responsibility, he is now an expert in dressing, casketing and cremation. He also frequently oversees funeral arrangements for clients, including that of his grandmother, which was particularly special to him. On call every day, Mr. Benson enjoys being able to provide such an honorable service to the community through his work.

While working part-time for the funeral home, Mr. Benson began a lengthy career in the steel industry. Commencing as a laborer, he grew to become an expert in formative quality assurance and garnered more than 30 years of experience in the field before retiring.

Mr. Benson is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He also volunteers his time with a local food pantry and has served as a scout leader for the Boy Scouts of America. During his tenure with the Boy Scouts, he grew his troop from just eight boys to approximately 40 when he resigned from the organization. Additionally, Mr. Benson was a district director for the United States Junior Chamber.

Recognizing his contributions as a civic leader, Mr. Benson was the recipient of a George Meany Award from the U.S. Steelworkers Union for his work on behalf of the Boy Scouts of America. He also received the coveted Bronze Pelican Award from his local Catholic church for service to the youth. This award is, notably, one of the highest awards given for adult scouting. In accounting for his success, Mr. Benson credits his propensity for always striving toward excellence, as well as his upbringing and subsequent efforts to serve others.
