NYACK, NY, September 13, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Debra Anne Flocco has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

While working as a writer, Ms. Flocco felt a calling to go to the library and take out a book on sculpture. After reading a book on a local sculptor, she attended The National Academy of Design's School of Fine Arts and began her career in the field. In conjunction with her work as a writer and sculptor, she also serves as a teacher. Although she has mostly taught adults, she has also taught Girl Scouts, worked with people with Autism and Alzheimer's, those with post-traumatic stress disorder, physical disabilities, and people recovering from cancer.

Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Flocco has worked with wounded soldiers and cadets, and her sculpture workshop was the inaugural event for The Creative Arts Project at West Point Academy. Likewise, she has exhibited her work in Soho in Manhattan, as well as in the Cork Gallery at Lincoln Center. To commemorate her accomplishments, she has won the Chesterwood Museum's First Prize, the National Academy of Design President's Prize and the National Sculpture Society's Mildred Victor Memorial Prize, in addition to having her work featured in Sculpture Review and Art Review Magazine. Furthermore, she won the Gold Medal of Honor from Knickerbocker Artists, the Silver Medal through Allied Artists, the Art Renewal Award, and the First Prize Solo Exhibition Award from the Pen & Brush Club.

An expert in her field, Ms. Flocco received a bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University. To remain aware of developments affecting her field, she aligns herself with the National Sculpture Society, as well as the Pen and Brush Club. Looking toward the future, Ms. Flocco intends to establish the operation of her website, teach people on a global scale and continue her work as a sculptor.
