In this capacity, she oversees quality for Ford Explorers and the Lincoln MKX, and helps Inalfa reinstate IATF certifications through internal audits and process adherence. Prior to obtaining her current position, Ms. Thompson worked as the director of Detroit Manufacturing Systems LLC, where she implemented layout changes that saved the company nearly $2 million in labor improvements and worked with the state to obtain a $1 million grant for the team member training.
During the early stages of her career, Ms. Thompson gained valuable expertise in logistics, production control and quality engineering with Inteva Products, Cadence Innovation, Android Industries, Engineered Plastic Products and Plastech. Outside of her main career path, Ms. Thompson contributes to her community as co-founder of Flint Lives Matter Tailgate and also supports Youth Quest.
Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Ms. Thompson earned a bachelor's degree from Baker College in 2001. To gain further expertise in her field, she received a Master of Business Administration in industrial management from the Baker College Center for Graduate Studies in 2009 and a Six Sigma Black Belt through Purdue University. Due to her wide range of knowledge, she authored "Powerful Vision Board Clip Art Book: Manifest Your Dreams." In a career filled with highlights, she is most proud of mentoring and training individuals who started with her company in other roles. Looking toward the future, Ms. Thompson intends to coach more people so that they can achieve their goals, as well as conduct additional coaching within the school system.
