Drawing on more than 50 years of experience in sales, educational technology, instructional design, and curriculum development, Mr. Wiesenhutter presently excels as a certified small business mentor with SCORE Mentors Philadelphia. During the early stages of his career, he worked as the founder and chief executive officer of Jay Associates, Inc., as an adjunct professor of business at Bucks County Community College, and as an Eastern regional manager for Dow Jones. Similarly, Mr. Wiesenhutter used to write for The Philadelphia Inquirer's sections titled "The Bottom Line."
Outside of his work, Mr. Wiesenhutter aligns himself with the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. Previously, he was a board member for CHASE between 1991 and 2001. Due to his considerable breadth of knowledge, he authored "Professional Selling: A Consultative Approach," which was published in 1995. He also taught at Delaware Valley University, specializing in marketing studies, and at Harvard University, Columbia University in the City of New York, and Northwestern University, where he taught the executive MBA programs. An expert in his field, Mr. Wiesenhutter holds a Bachelor of Science in marketing management and an MBA from St. Joseph's University in 1966 and 1980 respectively.
In light of his outstanding body of work, Mr. Wiesenhutter was nominated for Professor of the Year in the Business Study Department at Bucks County Community College in 2017 and honored as an Outstanding Part-Time Faculty Member the same year. While his career has been filled with standout moments, he takes the most pride in melding his corporate and collegiate teaching styles together while teaching students in New York and successfully running Jay Associates while working with Dow Jones. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far, he credits his success to being a great negotiator and networker. In the coming years, Mr. Wiesenhutter aims to return to teaching at the Community College of Philadelphia.
