Joining Abbott, a global leader in diabetes care, as a district sales manager in 2020, she successfully led a talented diabetes sales team for two years. Subsequently promoted to serve as one of the organization's regional sales managers in 2022, Ms. Wyka continues to manage the overall direction of sales professionals throughout the state of Michigan, while also promoting growth for its product portfolio.
Prior to being acquired by Abbott, Ms. Wyka was a district sales manager of cardiovascular for Kowa Pharmaceuticals America from 2016 to 2020. She was also a district sales manager for Daiichi Sankyo in Japan, a senior division manager and district sales manager for Pfizer, a district sales manager for IQVIA, and a territory manager of the Ross products division of Abbott Laboratories. Additionally, Ms. Wyka garnered experience with Apple between 2012 and 2016 as an account executive in higher education and health care sales where she had the opportunity to collaborate with the chief information officer, several chief technology officers, and other leaders within healthcare organizations.
Throughout the course of her professional career, what Ms. Wyka has enjoyed most has been her ability to lead people and help them achieve higher-level positions. Career development, she notes, has been very rewarding for her, because she gets to be an integral part of their success and progression in the field.
Ms. Wyka received a Bachelor of Arts in communications with a minor in finance from the University of Akron. She also completed postgraduate coursework at The Ohio State University and the University of Michigan and earned certification through the Joslin Diabetes Center. Ms. Wyka is a member of Delta Sigma Pi.
