DELMAR, NY, December 08, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Peggy Sue Minore Hart has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With over 40 years dedicated to music education and performance, Peggy Minore Hart has excelled as an accordion player, music instructor, and band director. Throughout her career, she has focused on showing the versatility of the accordion. This includes teaching and performing classical music, gospel, patriotic, traditional genres, jazz, popular, standards, and, of course, polkas.

She discovered her love of music at the age of nine, when Bob Budzynski first knocked on her parent's door, inquiring if there was anyone in the family who would be interested in learning to play the accordion. Well, one squeeze later, and Peggy was hooked on this instrument! Peggy took accordion lessons for several years, and her parents took her to competitions in MI and OH for international festivals. She furthered her professional growth at Wilmington College in Ohio, and Mott College in Michigan. Having been asked to adjudicate competitions in MI, IN, and CO, she tries to encourage students in their love of the instrument. She played in a band that won first place at the 1969 Coupe Mondiale, which was held in NYC.

She began instructing students and directing bands in 1967, and she has taught accordion classes at the Flint Institute of Music (MI), and later at Dutchess Community College (NY). Currently, she is teaching accordion classes at the OldSongs in Voorheesville, NY, inspiring her students with the love of this versatile instrument. Her innovative techniques provide a mastery of the basses and bellows, with an emphasis on expressive playing. At this time, she directs and plays in three bands: SqueezePlay NY, Fresh Squeezed, and Squeezus (for Jesus), her gospel group.
