Prior to his current role, Dr. Nomicos worked as an occupational medicine physician at Palm Medical Group between 2019 and 2021. He also served as a physician and chief medical officer at Camarena Health in Madera, California, from 2014 to 2017. Furthermore, he has served as an independent contractor physician at several other hospitals and clinical practices throughout the course of his career, beginning in 1991. Among them, he has contributed to operations at Doctors Hospital in Jackson, Michigan, the Albion Community Hospital, Signify Health, Health Tap, Horizons Unlimited, Patients First Medical Center and Mercy Medical Center, among other facilities. Likewise, Dr. Nomicos sat on the board of directors at the Chowchilla Memorial Healthcare District, a rehabilitation center, from 2008 until 2022.
Outside of his primary efforts, Dr. Nomicos worked in education as an assistant clinical professor and program director at Arizona Health Services University from 2016 to 2017. Leveraging excellent communication skills and attention to detail, he also demonstrates proficiency in the field of medicine through membership with several relevant organizations, including the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the Western Occupational and Environmental Medical Association, the American Medical Association and the Divers Alert Network.
Dr. Nomicos' performance in the field was augmented by his academic journey, which began at the College of Idaho. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in zoology in 1983, he went on to study at the American University of the Caribbean, from which he received a Doctor of Medicine in 1987. Following this accomplishment, Dr. Nomicos undertook additional research in immunology at the University of California Los Angeles, and a surgical residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. Additionally, he has pursued further coursework in biostatistics and epidemiology at Johns Hopkins University.
Among his most notable career achievements, Dr. Nomicos is most proud to have exerted a positive impact on the lives of his patients. In accounting for his success, he credits his deep and abiding Christian faith, which has guided him in surmounting numerous obstacles throughout the course of his life.
