For more than 50 years, Mr. Wylie had led a diverse career that has enabled him the freedom to explore his many interests and still be successful. From engineering to law and economics, Mr. Wylie is now concentrating his time on becoming more recognized as a respected author.
Mr. Wylie notably published his first book, "The Irish General: Thomas Francis Meagher," in 2011. The 416-page biography of Thomas Francis Meagher was published via the University of Oklahoma Press and received rave reviews from numerous historians. Five years later, he published "Blood on the Marias: The Baker Massacre" in 2016, which is the story of an attack by the 2nd U. S. Cavalry on an innocent Piegan Indian village. After graduating from college with a bachelor's degree, Mr. Wylie began working in the rocket industry as an engineer where he garnered extensive experience with the famed Minuteman Missile, which is recognized as a U.S. intercontinental ballistic missile, in Utah. He subsequently became a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent Office in Washington, which eventually motivated him to return to college in pursuit of a law degree. After many years as a patent attorney, Mr. Wylie transitioned into becoming an economic expert where he specialized in determining royalty rates for measures of damages.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Wylie admits that he has no substantial plans concerning his career. However, he does aim to remain in good health so that he can enjoy all that life has to offer.
Highly educated, Mr. Wylie earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering at Montana State University in 1959 and a Juris Doctor degree at American University in 1965. He has been admitted to the practice of law by the Courts of Utah, California and Montana and is a member of the Bar Associations of those States.
To remain aware of developments in his fields, Mr. Wylie has been a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the American Chemical Society, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the United States Trademark Association, and the American Arbitration Association. Mr. Wylie is also a professional member of the Western Writers of America and the Western History Association.
