Drawing on over four decades of diverse expertise, Ms. Terrell specializes in farming and agricultural product development. Since 2017, she has found much success as the founder and principal of Nature's Circle, an innovative farm that specializes in local, unique farm goods. Innovative farm products include Luv A Luffa cat toys, luffa diffusers, farm art, Moringa in many forms, Chatty's Gourmet Goat Cheese Dog Treats, and ChiDamaLuffa which is a horticultural practice where plants are wrapped in Luffa and string much like Kokedama.
Nature's Circle is a certified Bee Friendly Farm through Pollinator Partnership and a Monarch Butterfly Waystation. The Farm is all about educating people on growing pollinator plants that can survive 100 degree temperatures and plants that provide wellness to people, pets, and petstock. Principle plants include Luffa, Moringa, and the Butterfly Pea but over 70 annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees are grown for educational purposes. Nature's Circle also educates on growing in Keyholes.
In addition to her main vocation, Ms. Terrell serves as a City Council Member, Mayor Pro Tem, Aurora, TX. Prior to this role, her professional career was in Supply Chain Organizations which included Walmart, Americold Logistics LLC, and JCP. Roles included logistics coach, department manager, and operations manager.
Ms. Terrell initially began her career as a beef herdsman at the Moyer Cattle Farm, while concurrently working as a poultry commodity grader for the United States Department of Agriculture from 1979 to 1981. Between 1982 and 1995, she garnered expertise in a variety of leadership roles at agricultural organizations which included Gold Kist Inc, Campbell Soup Company, Zacky Farms LLC, Roxford Foods, and PTS Transportation.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Terrell pursued an education at West Virginia University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics in 1979. As a commitment to her field, she has been active with several agricultural organizations including the Promise of Peace Community Gardens in Dallas, TX, horticultural clubs, bee clubs, garden clubs, and farmers markets.
Among her civic accomplishments, Ms. Terrell is most proud to have worked with the Texas Rangers. While on City Council, she noticed that city funds were missing. Ms. Terrell asked the former city administrator and Mayor for three years of budgets and audits line by line. She never received the budgets and audits. Ten days later, the Aurora City Hall burnt down. The former city administrator was arrested by the Texas Rangers for theft of over $300,000 by a City Official in December 2021. The case is still pending.
Looking towards the future, Ms. Terrell is helping build a new city hall, and continuing to be dedicated to civic advocacy. Her aspiration is to publish 2 books: "The Power of Luffa" and "The Art of ChiDamaLuffa." She is working internationally to establish the Global Luffa Alliance.
