Iga also dedicated nine years of her life to learning Mandarin and traveling across mainland China, which led her to partner with local villagers in Guangxi province to open and run two clothing stores which provides children's wear to the poor. She founded Assignments International Inc., a nonprofit organization that dedicates spiritual, educational, and basic resources to those born into poverty. During the pandemic, she led her organization to apply the same principles locally and spent time getting to know and supporting unhoused individuals to recover from loss and get permanent housing.
Iga is a vocal advocate of anything that supports personal authenticity, inner growth, and peacemaking, and uses her master's in divinity degree from Fuller Seminary and preaching passions to urge congregations to find their selves as God's children, and to find their voice in the community.
Iga's accomplishments include qualifying for and running the Boston Marathon, winning many 5K races in her age category, climbing Mt Whitney in a day, and body building for a season. She has retired from racing and enjoys trail running during her free time. She has a love for life and learning, and if all goes well, she hopes one day to be a super-centenarian in order to learn and pass on all that she's learned to others.
