    BENSALEM, PA, March 21, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gopinath C. Nallani, PhD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Nallani, an expert in human health and environmental risk assessment of chemicals, particularly agrochemicals, has served as a regulatory scientist for FMC Corporation since 2013. In his role, he oversees the conduct of a wide variety of regulatory studies to understand the environmental fate and human health safety profile of plant protection products. He also designs and monitors product safety and stewardship investigations, writes reports, and prepares dossiers for regulatory submissions worldwide. Additionally, Dr. Nallani remains in constant communication with regulatory professionals from all over the world to better understand the status of studies and participates in task forces to influence the development and implementation of practical regulatory guidelines critical to developing products that are both safe and sustainable.

Headquartered in Philadelphia and operating in more than 50 countries, FMC is recognized for its global leadership in advancing farming via groundbreaking and sustainable crop production technologies. Dr. Nallani had been recruited to FMC from Smithers Viscient, where he was a senior chemist from 2012 to 2013. He was also employed by Ricerca Biosciences as a scientist between 2011 and 2012. Prior to his scientific positions in the industry, he was a postdoctoral research associate at Arizona State University in 2011.

As a part of his years of research, Dr. Nallani has disseminated many of his findings by authoring and co-authoring dozens of articles in such scholarly journals as Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology, Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, Chemosphere and Aquatic Toxicology. He has also served as an associate editor and reviewer for several other scientific journals.

Passionate about his industry, Dr. Nallani aims to continue his contribution to developing safe and efficacious agricultural products to ensure food security globally. Working for an organization where an incredible team of young scientists surrounds him, his goal is to prepare them as they continue to participate and offer new solutions to growers around the world. Among other objectives, Dr. Nallani hopes to raise awareness about regulatory science as a career choice for those aspiring to contribute towards production of safe and healthy agricultural produce.

Born and raised in a family of teaching professionals who took up farming after retirement, Dr. Nallani learned while coming of age the importance of agriculture. After high school, he chose to pursue the industry, earning both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Chemistry from Andhra University, Waltair, India. He later immigrated to the US and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Sciences from University of North Texas, Denton, TX.

To remain aware of developments in his field, Dr. Nallani has been an active and full member of the professional organizations: American Chemical Society (ACS), the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), and the Society of Toxicology (SOT).

Recognizing his accomplishments, Dr. Nallani won an award at the SETAC conference in Milwaukee in 2017 while in graduate school for having the second-best research poster. He was among more than 2,000 researchers that had presented on various topics. He earned his permanent residency in the U.S. through an outstanding researcher category. He was notably in the top one percent in the U.S. to qualify. Dr. Nallani attributes his hard work and perseverance to much of his success, as well as his eagerness to learn and flourish in his professional endeavors. Last but not the least, he is indebted to incredible and constant support from his family. Dr. Nallani's hobbies include enjoying nature, hiking in national parks, spending time with family, watching and playing cricket.
