Leveraging more than four decades of excellence in aviation safety, Mr. Donaldson has earned distinction as an Aviation Safety Inspector for the Federal Aviation Administration. For the past 16 years, he has focused his efforts on overseeing Empire Airlines maintenance operations, collaborating with the NTSB at accident sites, and inspecting various aircraft, maintenance personnel, and aircraft maintenance facilities.
Before starting his private career, Mr. Donaldson served honorably as a Master Sergeant and aircraft crew chief for the United States Air Force from 1979 until 2000. While in the military, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1998. He also earned his Private Pilots certificate in 1999. In recognition of his dedicated service, including overseas deployments in support of military operations in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Turkey and Bosnia, he was honored with a Humanitarian Service Medal, four Commendation Medals, and a Meritorious Service Medal.
Following his military service, Mr. Donaldson functioned in the Quality Assurance department of Air Wisconsin Airlines for seven years. Outside of his primary career efforts, he has been a nature photographer for 44 years, appeared on film and TV, and continues his dedication to his country through the Air Force Sergeants Association. Within the coming years, Mr. Donaldson intends to retire, enabling him to focus on his nature photography and building a career in acting.
