Leveraging more than two decades of excellence in national and international consultancy in educational leadership, Dr. Griffin has earned distinction as the chief executive officer and president of her own company, Griffin Enterprises. In this capacity, she focuses her efforts on developing leadership initiatives and comprehensive transformational plans for operating school systems in developing countries as well as conducting leadership presentations and advising educational executives. She has notably managed international academic projects in Panama, Germany and Italy during her time with the company as well. Prior to her current role, Dr. Griffin began her career as a school principal, school superintendent, administrator and academic coordinator for Juvenile Services Education. She then became an international education consultant before establishing her firm. Throughout her career, Dr. Griffin has taken part in countless cross-cultural dialogues with fellow education professionals. Similarly, she has worked alongside numerous teams in many different nations, such as India, China, Kenya, Scotland and Singapore, to conduct comprehensive assessments of educational systems. Well-qualified in her field, she previously achieved a Doctor of Education as part of her vocational journey. Dr. Griffin additionally lends her expertise to the American Association of School Administrators and the Montgomery County Woman's National Democratic Club.

Outside of her primary career efforts in education, Dr. Griffin was a leader for international mission teams with her local Presbyterian church for 10 years. She also was a Democratic senatorial candidate for the state of Maryland, which was highlighted in Cision PR Newswire's "Dr. Scottie J. Griffin Announces her 2022 Write-in Candidacy for the United States Senate for the State of Maryland" in 2022. In her other political endeavors, Dr. Griffin was a United States delegate for the People to People International Ambassador Program, as part of the Eisenhower Foundation, from 1999 to 2005.

As a civic-minded citizen, Dr. Griffin is well-regarded for pioneering several noteworthy civil ventures. As part of her dedication to academia, she previously secured a $10 million budget from the United States Congress to utilize in the organization and creation of a residential public charter school for children with severe emotional disorders in her community. Additionally, she worked alongside the School-Home Partnership Division of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) to develop a new mentoring and extended learning program, which later received a million dollars to ensure its implementation on an international scale. Similarly, Dr. Griffin spearheaded a community partnership model for the DoDEA that has now been recognized around the world.

Within the coming years, Dr. Griffin intends to focus more on her civic work, addressing some of the issues and problems that juvenile services face today, such as suicide and youth incarceration. In this regard, she hopes to find success in the repetition of some of her former endeavors, such as securing funds from county corporations to restructure local community high schools. This dovetails with Dr. Griffin's work on improving the quality of education in the state of Maryland, including improving the teaching of history and helping to ensure young people are having discussions about how they can run the country as future leaders.
