4G/LTE on iPhones and iPads from 3

    COPENHAGEN, DENMARK, May 11, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- When Apple introduced its iPhone 5 in September 2012, it was great that we could see that it supported 4G/LTE. When the phone came to Denmark, the software was not open to operate on the Danish 4G/LTE-network - it required a software update. So the iOS 6.1 update that came today was a long-awaited update. Thank to it the Apple iPad Retina users can get access to 4G/LTE.

"Many 3 customers have an iPhone 5 or an iPad Retina, and of course we are happy that they can now access and take full advantage of the 4G/LTE-network. 3 today has 4G/LTE-coverage in almost 70 cities in Denmark, and we have continued to focus fully on strengthening the coverage even further. According to an independent market research, conducted on behalf of 3, the majority of the Danes vote for 3 as being a leader in the 4G/LTE network, and this is especially important to us because we can meet our customers' demand for high speed," said David Elsass, CRM and Marketing Director for the private sector of 3.

3's customers are consuming the most data of all Danes, and with the 4G/LTE the customers can stream music, TV and high definition movies with the same quality as they are used to with an ADSL connection.

Apple's products support 4G/LTE in the 1800 band, and at the moment only 3 and Telia offer the 4G/LTE. 3 is currently the only telecommunication company in Denmark that sells iPads.
