Victor Pacheco Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Risk Engineering

Victor Pacheco Mendoza channels years of experience into his roe with Carmel Partners



Considering his outstanding body of work Mr. Pacheco was honored with the OSHA's Regional Administrator Award.

    SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ, April 11, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Victor Pacheco has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Inspired by his father's story, who returned to work after nearly losing his life in a catastrophic construction accident, Mr. Pacheco was driven to pursue a career in which he could make working conditions safer and better for others. After leaving Chile he began working as a safety consultant and trainer for Total Safety Consulting in New York City. Over the course of the next decade, Mr. Pacheco gained valuable expertise in the field as an OSHA Compliance Safety and Health Officer and a Safety Director for Plaza Construction in the Northeast Region. He has also worked as a Part Time Bilingual Safety Trainer for Site Safety LLC. In conjunction with his work, Victor has volunteered with the Worker Justice Project, New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE) and the Coalition of Latin-American Consuls in New York (CLACNY).

Backed by his considerable experience in both public and private sectors, Mr. Pacheco began working as a Safety Director for Carmel Partners in 2022. There he provides leadership and direction to implement cultural changes in safety through relationship management. Additionally, he manages loss prevention support services from insurance companies. To remain abreast of changes in the field. Mr. Pacheco alignes himself with the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), Safety Professionals and Latino Workforce, Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), the National Commission for the Certification of Crane operators (NCCCO), New York City Building Department (NYCDOB) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

As an expert in his field, Mr. Pacheco holds a Bachelor of Science in Risk Engineering from the Technological University of Chile. Subsequently, he expanded upon his professional knowledge by becoming a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), New York City Licensed Site Safety Manager (LSSM), New York State Safety Manager (SSM), New York City Construction Superintendent, OSHA 500 Train the Trainer, and Rigger Level I and II (NCCCO), He is also an accomplished bilingual safety trainer. Mr. Pacheco presented the topic of "Integration of Multilingual Training for the Construction Industry in New York City" at the 2010 ASSP Annual Conference in Baltimore. Considering his outstanding body of work Mr. Pacheco was honored with the OSHA's Regional Administrator Award in 2014.

While his career has been filled with standout moments, Mr. Pacheco takes the most pride in working with community organizations and OSHA, where he played a key role in connecting the immigrant population to safety, health and education free resources which help to create a better and safe work environment for the most disadvantaged workforce. He was part of the advisory committee for the Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis during Hurricane Sandy. Through hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, Victor credits his overall success to his passion for helping people, as well as his wife who has been a great support throughout their 20-year marriage. In the coming years, Mr. Pacheco intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career.
