HAUBSTADT, IN, May 01, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Herman Lee Scheller has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Scheller has led a long and diverse career, beginning at the age of 16 when he inherited his father's farm after a tragic car accident took his life. Just 16 at the time and still in high school, Mr. Scheller had to put everything aside to help his mother put food on the table to feed him and his siblings. Although he suffered several setbacks, he was grateful to be able to step in and keep the family legacy alive.
While managing the daily responsibilities on the farm, Mr. Scheller became a coal miner at Peabody Energy, a coal mining and energy company headquartered in St. Louis. He spent more than 20 years in the industry. Apart from farming and mining, Mr. Scheller has become locally recognized as a very talented woodworker.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Scheller aims to continue running the family farm for another five to 10 years. Having never considered farming work, his goal is to continue doing what he loves for as long as he is physically able to put in the labor that is involved.
Originally from Saint Wendel, Indiana, Mr. Scheller now resides in the town of Haubstadt. He is a graduate of Mater Dei High School.
