Leveraging more than a decade of excellence in hotel ownership and management, Mr. Obasi has earned distinction as the president of B.C. Construction and Contractor Inc. He also lends his expertise as an adjunct business professor to Harris–Stowe State University and serves as a mentor for the Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club. Additionally, he and his wife created a cookbook, "Salt and a Little Bit of Pepper," which has over 50 recipes they crafted during times when they struggled.
Outside of his primary career efforts, Mr. Obasi is the owner, operator and president of The Original Springs Hotel and served as the president of Computers R US USA from 2008 until 2021. Additionally, he has been an executive consultant for Business Connections LLC since 2002. Among his professional accomplishments, he is proud to have been named to the Top 40 Under 40 list by Deluxe Magazine in 2010.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Obasi earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Science & Computer Technology with a minor in Management Information Systems from Harris–Stowe State University in 2005. Following this achievement, he attained a Masters of Arts in Information Technology with a minor in Business Management from Webster University in 2009.
Within the coming years, Mr. Obasi intends to begin his own bottled water distribution company for retail through his company, utilizing the last mineral spring in the state of Illinois. His goal is to go to its original foundation where people from across the world will visit to have mineral baths for relaxation and enjoyment. He was inspired by his own healing journey there after surviving an accident that nearly cost him his foot.
