Proliferating the extent of this super concrete, a project engineer from India is working wonders to ensure the success of architectural precast concrete projects in the USA.
Aditya Yadav, a Project Engineer at STABIL, is involved in cutting-edge technology related to UHPC. His remarkable skill and knowledge of material sciences coupled with his expertise in UHPC technology makes him one of the few people capable of manufacturing this type of concrete today.
On one of his projects at STABIL, his team collaborated with UHPC experts in the field and achieved a concrete mix design — a flowable UHPC mix, that is stronger and lighter than conventional precast concrete.
Apart from his excursions with UHPC, Yadav has had a diverse and remarkable history of stints. At the roots, he bagged his bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida.
Since then, Aditya has contributed immensely in the field as an HVAC/MEP maintenance technician at the Marshall Student Center, a CAD and CAE engineer for the Nexus Training Institute, and an event organizer and design judge for the Indian Karting Championship.
Quite notably, in 2015, Aditya's team participated in the Baja Student India competition, where he served as the Design Engineer. He used 3D software for the modeling/design of the vehicle, and as the Chassis Design Lead, designed the chassis using 3D modeling software. Not just that, he also drove the difficult track suspension test, maneuverability test, and final endurance race, which is an extreme, 4-hour race.
Aditya was also the Team Captain for Forza Racing and led the team to rank 1 out of 120 teams in the design presentation round from across the country in the 2015 Baja Student India competition.
Throughout his career, Mr. Yadav has expanded upon his professional knowledge by earning certifications and completing continuing education through SAE International, Dassault Systemes, Maruti Suzuki, the Ministry of Labour & Employment in India, and JN Petit Technical High School.
In recognition of his outstanding body of work, he received an award for Best Office Building in the United States from Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute. He has been a recipient of the UHPS Building Innovation Award which celebrates the implementation and exemplary use of Ultra High-Performance Concrete (UHPC) in buildings and structures, while research papers written by him have been published in distinguished journals and presented at the UHPC conference.
Aditya's career has been filled with a series of standout moments, but he takes the most pride in being part of a racing team as the driver, even today.
