After earning a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Ohio University, Mr. Harden embarked on a decades-long journey in the semiconductor industry. From 1984 until 1988, he gained valuable expertise as a process engineer specializing in photolithography and plasma etching with RCA Corporation's Solid State Division. Subsequently, Mr. Harden dedicated 30 years working for Texas Instruments, first in the Memory Division, then with Digital Light Products. He held numerous engineering and management positions before his retirement in 2018.
Over the years, Mr. Harden also fostered an interest in real estate and presently excels as a real estate investor. He started Great State Properties in 2012, and has purchased and invested in real estate, primarily in single-family and multifamily residential properties. Alongside his work with Great State Properties, he is an independent consultant through the eponymous Joe Harden Consulting Services, through which he utilizes his engineering expertise in yield, quality, process engineering, and manufacturing, sharing knowledge and helping clients develop solutions to problems they are experiencing.
In conjunction with his work, Mr. Harden is a volunteer mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters and has been a key contributor to the American Youth Literacy Foundation. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in his product development and management work at Texas Instruments. The cornerstone of his success lay in his patience and perseverance, as well as developing an effective plan to follow. Within the coming years, Mr. Harden will continue growing his real estate business and aims to travel more internationally.
