Dr. Lashbrook is a board-certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has expertise in gynecological surgery and da Vinci robotic surgery, a minimally invasive approach she has utilized to great effect in the process of performing routine hysterectomies.
Dr. Lashbrook is active at Norman Regional Hospital in roles that do not always involve direct patient care. She serves on multiple committees, including Surgical Optimization, Credentialing, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Operating Room and Robotic Steering Committee. She has had the privilege to be the chairperson for several of these committees during her time in Norman. Outside of her direct professional engagements, Dr. Lashbrook maintains affiliation with several relevant organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Oklahoma State Medical Association, the Cleveland Medical Society, the McClain County Medical Society, and the Daniel K. Roberts Medical Society.
Dr. Lashbrook became involved in health care due to the influence of her mother, who was a medical technologist. After studying biology at East Central University and earning a Bachelor of Science, Dr. Lashbrook continued her academic efforts at the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine, attaining a Doctorate of Medicine. She elected to specialize in Obstetrics and Gynecology primarily because the field touches upon all facets of medicine and affords practitioners the opportunity to become an integral part of the lives of their patients. After undertaking an internship and residency at the University of Kansas College of Medicine, she formally embarked on her professional journey.
Well-regarded for her subsequent accomplishments, Dr. Lashbrook is particularly proud to have been named a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. since 2016; she has also been deemed an Exceptional Woman in Medicine since 2020. Dr. Lashbrook was featured in Oklahoma Magazine from 2017 to 2022 and was presented with the Readers' Choice Award for Best OB/GYN in Norman by The Norman Transcript in 2019.
Long dedicated to helping others, Dr. Lashbrook is actively engaged in her community with work to address food insecurity and other needs of the people around her. Looking toward the future, she aims to draw on her expertise to significantly impact women's lives. Dr. Lashbrook has been married for more than 25 years, and is the mother of six sons.
