Leveraging more than three decades of excellence in technology and engineering, Mr. Kennedy has earned distinction as the managing partner of Ardan Labs. Since 2011, he has focused his efforts on software development, providing technical training, consulting and contracting.
Outside of his primary career efforts, Mr. Kennedy serves as the founding member of GoBridge, which he established in 2015 to provide underrepresented communities access to educational resources in the Go programming language and associated technologies. The main focus of GoBridge is to teach classes, organize events, provide mentors, and provide scholarships to educational opportunities.
Mr. Kennedy has also authored two books about the Go programming language titled, "Go in Action" in 2015 and "Ultimate Go Notebook" in 2021. He has also authored over 100 blog posts, has talked at conferences all over the world, and has appeared on podcasts sharing his thoughts, ideas, and views about engineering.
Before his current leadership position, Mr. Kennedy began his career working at Vitas Healthcare in 1994 and served as an engineering director at Concerto from 1998 until 2004. Then from 2004 through 2010, he started working at his first business named Homekeys, which was one of the very first companies to share home listings and automated home evaluations on a map in the browser for consumer access. Prior to starting his professional journey, Mr. Kennedy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Information Systems from SUNY Potsdam in 1991.
Proud of the legacy he is crafting, Mr. Kennedy intends to retire in the coming years and find a new challenge to engage with. He has had a large indirect influence on most of the software that has been written today because of the thousands of developers he has trained over the past decade. However, his motivation has always been to provide his wife and children all the opportunities the world could offer them.
