For many years, Mr. Drotzur has built a steadfast network of patrons who have come to rely on his expertise, along with that of his wife and business partner, Peeraya, who has played a critical role in developing Great North Auction Co.'s marketing strategies.
Known for his contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Mr. Drotzur is an avid donor to such worthy causes as local community food banks, Zoe International and the International Justice Mission, the latter of which aids in the fight against human trafficking. He is also a supporter of various police organizations, the American Heart Association, and Mercy Ships, an international charity that operates the largest non-governmental hospital ships. Before embarking upon his professional journey in the field of auctioneering, Mr. Drotzur also served as a member of the 101st Airborne Division with the United States Army between 1989 and 1992.
In accounting for his success, Mr. Drotzur largely credits his Christian upbringing, through which he learned the value of hard work and mentorship. For his own part, he richly benefited from the inspiration of Urban Rahoi, the late Alaskan pilot, hunting guide and real estate developer. Outside of his business endeavors, Mr. Drotzur and his wife are the loving parents of eight children, through whom they have 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Looking toward the future, Mr. Drotzur aspires to become more involved in real estate investing and eventually retire.
