Leveraging more than a decade of excellence as a multihyphenate in the theater, film and television industries, Ms. Phelps has earned distinction as the general manager of the Junior Theater Festivals for iTheatrics, a company that aims to adapt Broadway musicals for youth. Having joined the company in 2014 as a contributing editor, writer and choreography video company manager, since 2021 she has focused her efforts on editing and proofreading adaptation materials while working on scores and scripts to ensure annotations are correct. An avid musician, she plays the flute, violin, trumpet, piano, guitar and harp. Additionally, she lent her expertise as an adjunct professor for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Transylvania University, and a visiting professor for the University of Kentucky, and has been a freelance actor, musician and voice over artist since 2004. She is also a valued member of the Actors' Equity Association.

Prior to her current role with iTheatrics, Ms. Phelps began her career as an actor with the PlayMakers Repertory Company in 2008. Following this time, she served as the director of operations for The Murder Mystery Company in 2014 and was the associate producer for the AthensWest Theatre Company from 2017 until 2023.

Among her professional awards, Ms. Phelps is proud to have received a Best Actress Award from the American Artist Film Festival in 2009. Added to this, she was twice named Independent Weekly's Best Ensemble the same year and received a Phyllis Ryan Award for Excellence in Acting in 2010.

After completing coursework at Harlaxton College in England, Ms. Phelps earned a Bachelor of Science in theater performance with a minor in psychology from the University of Evansville in 2007. Following this achievement, she attained a Master of Fine Arts in acting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011. Her education was supported by her securing numerous scholarships, including a Trustee Scholarship, an Essay Award and a President's Award.

Having consistently remained within her field as a professional since graduating from college, Ms. Phelps intends to return to a professional acting schedule on stage as well as maintaining her commitment as a teacher. She plans to grow within her role at the Junior Theater Group of iTheatrics, expanding her responsibilities as a full-time member of the company.
