Dr. Sudarshana M. Sharma Lauded for Excellence in Medical Research and Education

Due to his vast breadth of professional knowledge, Dr. Sharma has contributed to a number of publications, including "Enhancer variants reveal a conserved transcription factor network governed by PU.1 during osteoclast differentiation" and "Harnessing the Therapeutic Potential of the Nrf2/Bach1 Signaling Pathway in Parkinson's Disease." Throughout his career, he has published more than 20 peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals. In light of his outstanding body of work, Dr. Sharma received the Young Investigator Award and was named the Best Undergraduate Mentor at The Ohio State University on two separate occasions.

While his career has been filled with highlights, Dr. Sharma takes the most pride in the significant impact he has made on the field of bone research. The cornerstone of his success lay in his grit, as well as the faith of his parents, family, teachers and his collaborator Dr. Bobby Thomas, in his ability to accomplish extraordinary feats.
