Heidi P. Hirschfeld, MBA, has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

    BROOKLYN, NY, June 26, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Heidi P. Hirschfeld, MBA, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. A dedicated administrative professional with more than two decades of excellence in non-profit leadership, Ms. Hirschfeld has earned distinction as the president of the board of directors for the Brooklyn Center for Independence of the Disabled, the only independent living center in Brooklyn. Since 2013, she has focused her efforts on managing the organization, which includes advising the new executive director of the center.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Hirschfeld began her career as a programmer/analyst for RCA Corp and later transferred her skills to Hertz Corp as a senior programmer/analyst. Later, she became a software developer for Accenture in 1997 and became a business consultant for the Tuckahoe Union Free School District in 2000. Following this time, she served as an assistant professor for St. John's University from 2001 until 2006. She also was a national chair for the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel of the United States Department of the Treasury from 2017 until 2019.

Before embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Hirschfeld earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in statistics with a minor in mathematics and economics from Bernard Baruch College in 1973. Following this achievement, she attained a Master of Business Administration in computer application information systems from the NYU Stern School of Business in 1987 and a Master of Arts in educational psychology from the Columbia University Teacher's College in 1996. She subsequently gained a certificate of advanced study as a school business administrator from the New York University Steinhardt School of Education in 2000.

Within the coming years, Ms. Hirschfeld intends to continue working with the Brooklyn Center for Independence of the Disabled, expanding her skills and applying her talents to her diversely-populated community. She sees a high value in what she and her team do at the center and works to ensure the longevity of the organization.
