George Stanley Reeley has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

George Stanley Reeley is recognized for his expertise as a college professor with several institutions



He has taught as an online adjunct instructor for Saint Leo University and as a professor of online graduate studies for Herzing University Online since 2015.

A student-centered instructor with more than three decades of excellence in business management and education for higher institutions, Dr. Reeley has earned distinction as a professor of business law, healthcare administration, organizational behavior, human resource management, employment law and several other subjects. He has taught as an online adjunct instructor for Saint Leo University and as a professor of online graduate studies for Herzing University Online since 2015. He joined American InterContinental University Online at the same time as an online adjunct instructor and was added to Charleston Southern University Online as an adjunct instructor in 2016. He also teaches for the Master of Arts in management program for Mars Hill University, business strategy and policy for National University Online, business and operations management for Maryville University and business management courses for Eastern Gateway Community College. Additionally, he is a valued member of the MBAA Conference Association, the Society of Human Resource Managers and the Thomas Cooper Society through the University of South Carolina.

Prior to his current position, Dr. Reeley began his career as the director of facilities management for the Palmetto Baptist Medical Center in 1986 and became the senior project manager for Palmetto Health in 2001, retiring from the role in 2003. He subsequently functioned as an adjunct instructor for marketing, business law and interpersonal communications for Midlands Technical College in 2002 and served as an adjunct instructor for a graduate course in organizational behavior for Webster University in 2006. In 2007, he was a course designer and adjunct faculty member for Kaplan University Online and served as an associate campus dean and adjunct faculty member for the Strayer University School of Business until 2018, having previously taught as an adjunct instructor in 2007. Additionally, he was an online adjunct instructor for Allied American University in 2014 until the university closed in 2016 and taught organizational and business courses for the DeVry University Keller School of Management from 2018 until 2023.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Reeley has contributed a wealth of professional and scholarly presentations, starting as an invited guest lecturer for the University of South Carolina School of Public Health in 1998. He has also presented at the Annual Conference on Applied Management and Decision Sciences, the MBAA Conference and the DeVry university Online Faculty Symposium, among numerous others. Most recently, he was a selected presenter for the Saint Leo University Research Symposium on "The Student as the Customer—The Faculty Dilemma" in 2023. He has also published several written works, including his dissertation thesis in 2006. Added to this, he co-authored "The Online Professor Today: From Isolation and Depression to Connected and Thriving," which was published in the International Journal of Business and Management Research in 2021 and wrote a reflection on "Changing technology in online platforms distract faculty and students from the prime directive—teaching and learning" that was featured on The Babb Group Online Blog in 2018. He also lends his expertise as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Wellness.

Among his professional accomplishments as an educator, Dr. Reeley was honored with an Outstanding Teacher Award and the Region Three Teaching Award from Strayer university in 2008 and 2010. He also won the Donald R. Stoddard Outstanding Faculty Award in 2010, the Excellence in Education Award in 2013 and the Engagement Score Honor in 2014 from the same institution. He is proud to have been nominated alongside distinguished colleagues for the Outstanding Professor award by American Intercontinental University in 2017 and 2020. From Herzing University, he won the Educator of the Year award in recognition of his dedication in facilitating a positive educational environment and having an outstanding record of service to the campus. He was nominated for the same award in 2022 and was selected to serve on the IACBE Accreditation Panel for the university.

To prepare for his career, Dr. Reeley earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication, journalism, communications and related programs from the University of South Carolina in 1975. Following this achievement, he attained a Master of Arts in management from Webster University in 1994 and a Doctor of Philosophy in applied management and decision sciences from Walden University in 2006, proudly earning the latter at age 50 to fulfill his dream of becoming a college professor. He also completed additional graduate courses in human resource management and gained certifications in special accommodations training, Pearson educational training and diversity, antidiscrimination and IT security training.

Within the coming years, Dr. Reeley intends to continue to be engaged as a teacher as well as a social and political activist. Accounting for his success, he credits his wife, who serves as his muse, guide and strength, driving him to make positive changes he would not have otherwise done.
