A chemistry professional with more than two decades of excellence in the chemical industry, analytical laboratories and gas chromatography, Mr. Racky has earned distinction as an analytical chemist for the Huntsman Corporation. Since 2018, he has focused his efforts on developing analytical instruments and creating methods to analyze new and existing products. He also ensures the instruments he and his team utilize are validated, calibrated, and maintained correctly while validating results for sample testing and categorizing instruments.
Before joining the Huntsman Corporation, Mr. Racky began his career as a laboratory technician for the Isfahan Refinery in Iran in 1995. He subsequently lent his expertise as a paint and coating chemist for IKD in 1998, taking a role as an analytical chemist for Iran Khodro Diesel in 2009. Following this time, he was a laboratory chemist for the Intertek Group plc in 2014 until becoming a chemist for SGS in 2016.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Racky invested new instruments and tools to run analytical methods faster and created applications to run instruments to control charges, earning him an employee recognition award from Huntsman Corporation. While working with IKD, he was able to modify the entire process of the pre-treatment plant in 1998, leading to a decrease in water consumption by 50% and a reduction material consumption by 10%.
To prepare for his career as a chemist, Mr. Racky earned a diploma in mathematics, chemistry and physics while living in Izeh, Iran in 1991. Following this achievement, he attained a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the Isfahan University of Technology in Iran in 1996. Well-qualified in his field, he holds certificates in high-performance liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, thermal conductivity detectors and flame-ionization detectors from the Sharif University of Technology. He also gained a certificate in machine language programming from Epson US, LEAN SIX SIGMA YELLOW BELT from Six Sigma Global Institute and a GC maintenance and calibration certificate from Agilent Technologies, Inc. Looking to the future, Mr. Racky intends to complete his doctorate in chemistry, allowing him to pursue a career in academia where he can impart his knowledge and expertise to the future generations of chemists.
